If the rice isn't right, it really doesn't matter what else you do, you're not going to be able to serve great sushi.
Leaders often jump into an area of passion without making sure they are good at the basics of leadership. In my opinion, the basic element of leadership is relationships. If you’re a leader, the assumption is that you haven’t left a path of burnt bridges, you genuinely like to and want to invest in others and you’re committed to seeing others reach their goals and not just yours.
